When you need pages as pictures
Many places accept images but not PDFs: Instagram, most messengers' photo pickers, slide decks, design tools, websites with an image upload. Sending a single page of a document is also simpler as a picture than as a PDF that has to be opened. Converting the pages gives you files that work in all of those places.
How the pages are drawn
The PDF is rendered by PDFium, the same engine Chrome uses to show PDFs, so fonts, vector drawings and embedded images come out the way they look on screen. Each page is drawn at about 150 dpi and saved as a high-quality JPG, with the longest side limited to 2400 pixels: sharp enough to read small print, small enough to send. Pages keep their own shape – a landscape page stays landscape.
In the bot
Send the PDF as a file and tap Convert to pictures under it. The pages come back as photos, ten to an album, in the document's order. You can forward one page on its own or save them all to your gallery.
The other way round
To put photos or screenshots together into one document, use image to PDF. For album artwork at its original size, see the cover downloader.
